I found this recipe a few years ago and it's been a game-changer for me. No more harsh wipes on my sensitive skin, no more worrying about running out of expensive products.

This 3 ingredient cleanser is all your face will ever need.

I want you to learn more about your skin. Discover what it needs and the best ways you can keep it nourished and looking fresh.

You may not even need all three ingredients! I want you to experiment and see what works for YOUR skin. To begin though here they are -

  1. Filtered water
  2. Carrier Oil (link to my fav)
  3. Witch Hazel

The water dilutes the formula. I filter my water twice to remove nasty chemicals. Try using the cleanest water you can get. Even buy a bottle of filtered water and use that rather than tap water if it's not treated well.

The witch hazel is going to tighten your pores and boost antioxidants and reduce inflammation (also why it's great after childbirth!). This ingredient is one I tend to add more of in the summer months and less of in the winter months when my skin is drier because of the colder weather.

The carrier oil is going to do the heavy lifting of dirt and make-up from your skin. Here you have some choice as the carrier oil you use will depend on your skin type. I like to use fractionated coconut oil as I always have it in the house for using with my essential oils anyway. Jojoba is very nourishing for dry or older skin, castor is good for oily skin. If you'd like to learn more about carrier oils get in touch for my free ebook.

Get yourself a suitable bottle to add your ingredients to. I use an old cleanser bottle and I wash it every time it runs out.

This is mine.

To make your cleanser it's as simple as thirds! If you are using a 100ml bottle you will add 30ml of each and then you have some room (10ml) left over to add more of what you like!

Add 1/3 of each ingredient to start with and see how your skin likes it. You might like more oil or more witch hazel so go ahead and experiment until you find the mix that works for you. This took me months to discover. Like many women I was very out of touch with my body and it's needs so it took a few goes to get the formula right.

I also discovered that adding a drop or two of Geranium essential oil was a real treat and lovely for my skin!

Just squirt out a bit onto some cotton pads and wipe that dirt away! You'll be amazed at what comes off even when you think it's clean!

The best thing about this cleanser is that it's so cheap to make but feels so luxurious on my skin I feel like I've been to the spa every time!

Enjoy!
