One way to help yourself feel better no matter what is going on in the world around you is self care. Looking after yourself is always the first importance. With an empty cup how can you help others? When our lives are busy, we are parents, we are schooling at home or we are in the middle of a pandemic it can be hard to remember how important it is to look after ourselves. We are running around looking after everyone else and day by day, minute by minute we are emptying our own cup without ever filling it up again. Eventually your energy, patience and feelings of joy and happiness run out if you continue down this path. Maybe your'e already feeling that you're there.
This is why this Valentine's it's important that you care for YOU FIRST and then share that with others.
Valentine's is a great time for self-care rituals as we primp and preen in preparation for the day. What if these sort of rituals were part of our every day lives? How would our lives change? As you care for yourself this Valentine's think about how you could incorporate some of these habits into your everyday life. Could you give yourself a foot rub before you get into bed some nights? Could you make having a bath a weekly routine?
So if you're not feeling the love this Valentine's think about how you are caring for yourself. Use the recipes below for self care and THEN use them to care for your partner.
If you're single it's even more important for you to take at least one of the recipes below and use it for YOU. When you can love and accept yourself fully you will attract someone who will also love and accept you fully. You do this by treating yourself like the absolute king or queen that you are,
Sending lots of love your way this Valentine's.
